Becky Bentson Weber, a Managing Director at Prime Policy Group, manages the firm’s transportation and infrastructure practice. She joined the firm from its predecessor, BKSH & Associates, and brings over 35 years of experience in transportation, infrastructure, and state and local government issues from executive branch, Congress, and private sector perspectives.  

She represents public and private sector clients with legislative and regulatory issues in the federal highway, transit, motor carrier, highway and vehicle safety, rail, aviation, hazardous materials, pipelines, ports, maritime and transportation security programs. She provides a full spectrum of government relations services, from comprehensive Washington representation on all legislative and regulatory issues of importance to a client, to lending targeted assistance to achieve a specific goal. Prior to joining the firm, Becky served as a consultant for a bipartisan government relations firm specializing in transportation and state and local government issues.

Becky previously served for 10 years as Republican Counsel to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on all matters under the jurisdiction of the Surface Transportation Subcommittee. In that capacity, she advised Members on a variety of surface transportation issues, including the federal-aid highway and transit programs, highway safety, motor carrier safety, motor carrier regulation, hazardous materials, and pipeline safety. She participated in the drafting, negotiation and passage of over 40 bills during her tenure in the House, including two major surface transportation reauthorization bills.  

Becky began her career as an Honors Attorney at the U.S. Department of Transportation. She then served as an attorney in the Office of the Chief Counsel of the Research and Innovative Technology Administration at DOT and in the Legislation Division of the Office of the General Counsel at DOT. In 2001, she served on the Bush/Cheney Transition Advisory Team for the Department of Transportation. Several clients have recognized her contributions with awards including the Meritorious Service Award in 2012 and the President's Award in 2022 from the National School Transportation Association, and the Order of the Long Leaf Pine Award from North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory in 2016. Becky was named a Top Lobbyist by the National Institute of Lobbying and Ethics and The Hill newspaper in 2023.

Becky holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University, and is a member of the Kansas Bar. She serves as Adjunct Professor of Law and Mentor for the University of Kansas School of Law 6th Semester in DC program, as well as a Mentor for the Baylor in Washington program. Becky resides in Falls Church, Virginia with her husband Luther and has two grown sons.
