Ben Kava is a Client Executive at Prime Policy Group and the lead research team member for the firm’s foreign affairs clients. Ben also assists with research in the trade, tax, energy, and healthcare practice areas, and supports the firm’s coordination of fly-ins, coverage of congressional hearings, and detailed legislative tracking.
Prior to joining Prime, Ben served as an intern for the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs in the Office of Chairman Gary Peters, where he assisted with drafting public-facing messaging on bills within the Committee’s jurisdiction. In that capacity, Ben played a role in composing a comprehensive record of Committee highlights during the 117thCongress that was published in the Congressional Record.
Ben began his career in public service as an elementary school math teacher at Meridian Public Charter School in Washington, D.C. In that role, Ben supported students in their pursuit of targeted learning goals and created a makeshift classroom stock market to give students hands-on experience with money and banking concepts.
Ben earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy & Leadership from the University of Virginia in 2021. He was born and raised in Manhattan, and currently resides in the DuPont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C.
