Former Legislative Policy Advisor for Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch leaves the Hill for bipartisan government relations firm

Washington, D.C.: Prime Policy Group, Washington’s premier bipartisan government relations and consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Ed Cox joined the firm as Director. Ed comes to Prime after serving as a Legislative Policy Advisor for Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-UT). He will help lead the firm’s energy practice and expand the firm’s expertise in natural resources, environmental and agriculture policy.During his tenure in the Senate, Ed advised Senator Hatch on policy pertaining to energy and land management, among other issues, and was instrumental in the Senator’s efforts to pass legislation providing for a large-scale federal land and mineral exchange of over 100,000 acres in the State of Utah. In this role, Ed has worked closely with senior officials in the administrations of the Presidents Obama and Trump at various agencies, including the Departments of Interior and Energy and the EPA.“We are excited to have Ed join our team,” says Prime Policy Group Chairman, Charlie Black. “He brings valuable policy and legislative experience, and a familiarity with officials throughout Congress and the Executive Branch.
