Emily Katz to Lead Healthcare Practice

         

Washington, DC: Prime Policy Group, Washington’s premier bipartisan government relations firm, is pleased to announce Emily Katz has been promoted to Managing Director and will serve as Chair of the firm’s healthcare practice. She was previously a Director.

Emily spent nearly a decade in the Senate where she served in the offices of Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA), now Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden (D-OR) and in the House of Representatives as Health Policy Director to Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO). Before joining Prime Policy Group, Emily was a Senior Vice President at BCW, the firm’s sister public relations company. Prior to that, Emily was the Senior Director of Government Affairs at Express Scripts.

Known for developing consequential legislative and regulatory strategies on issues including drug pricing, public health, women’s health, diabetes, end of life care, health insurance and reform, and public programs, Emily is considered an expert in health policy. She is a published scientific author and holds a Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.

The firm’s Chairman and former long-time leader of the healthcare practice, Rich Meade, points to the depth of Emily’s extensive experience in health policy that will propel her leadership of the practice.

In her new leadership role, Emily will guide the overall strategy of the healthcare practice as she continues to charge forth for the individual clients she manages.
