Republican Primary Cheat Sheet

May 18, 2016

The schedule and process for nominating a Republican candidate for President began in early February and will likely continue well into the Spring, if not the Summer. Unlike their Democratic counterparts, Republicans give individual states enormous flexibility on determining how delegates are allotted with states choosing a proportional, winner-take-all or hybrid system. A complete accounting of how states allocate their delegates, as well as an up-to-date accounting of which candidates won delegates for each state can be found below. As a note American Samoa (9 Delegates), Colorado (37 Delegates), Guam (9 Delegates), North Dakota (28 Delegates) and Wyoming (29 Delegates) will not hold presidential preference votes in 2016.
